A commissioner for Commissioner District 2 must be appointed by the governor to complete the term of Roger Faulkender.

Registered voters of Commissioner District 2 (Calhoun, Cleveland Run, Orlando, and Wano 1 townships) are eligible to apply for the position.

Resumes must be in the County Clerk's office by 5 pm on October 22nd.

A Cheyenne County Republican Convention to select a candidate will be in the commissioner's room in the Cheyenne County Courthouse at 9 am on October 23rd, 2026.
